Milan Design Week 2027 Dates
The Salone del Mobile 2027, known worldwide for its significance in the furniture and design industry, will officially take place from Tuesday, April 13, through Sunday, April 18, 2027.
The event runs concurrently with Milan Design Week, scheduled for Monday, April 12, through Sunday, April 26, 2027, and serves as the centerpiece of the week’s trade shows.
Where is Milan Design Week 2027?
The Salone del Mobile 2027 takes place at Rho Fiera in Milan, a vast exhibition area with modern pavilions and facilities capable of hosting a wide range of events, from trade fairs to specialised exhibitions. The official address is Strada Statale del Sempione 28, 20017 Rho (MI).
Milan Design Week 2027 Tickets
Although the price for this year's edition has not yet been announced, in previous years the ticket price has been around 40 euros. Tickets will be available for purchase through the advance ticket sales service.
What to expect at the Milan Design Week 2027
The Milan Furniture Fair 2027 is a unique opportunity to discover the latest design trends, discovering products that not only stand out for their aesthetic style but also for their practical, technological qualities, and environmental sustainability.
The 2027 Salone del Mobile aims to outperform the results of the previous edition, which in 2026 drew 316,342 visitors from 167 countries, with 68% of them being international trade professionals. At the last edition, over 1,900 brands (36.6% of which were foreign) exhibited across more than 169,000 square meters, reaffirming the event’s status as a global benchmark for design, offering innovative and inspiring ideas even for those furnishing their homes.
EuroCucina 2027 – Technology for the Kitchen
The EuroCucina section will not take place in 2027, as it is held every two years as part of the Salone del Mobile in Milan: the most recent edition was held from April 21 to 26, 2026, at Fiera Milano Rho. The latest innovations included kitchens integrated with the living area, large kitchen islands, natural materials, and appliances equipped with artificial intelligence in the FTK – Technology For the Kitchen area.
The next edition of EuroCucina is scheduled for April 2028, with new trends in luxury kitchens waiting to be discovered.
The International Bathroom Exhibition 2027
The 2027 edition of the Milan Furniture Fair will not feature the International Bathroom Exhibition, which returns to the fair every two years. The most recent edition, held from April 21 to 26, 2026, highlighted home spas, walk-in showers, large slabs, and smart, water-efficient bathroom fixtures.
The exhibition dedicated to the wellness sector will return to Milan in April 2028 with the latest trends in designer bathroom furnishings.
Euroluce 2027: The Future of Lighting Design at Milan Design Week
This year, the Salone del Mobile in Milan brings Euroluce back to Fiera Milano Rho from April 13 to 18. The biennial design lighting fair will feature exhibitors and themed sections dedicated to smart lighting, new materials, and artificial intelligence applied to lighting.
Expected trends include rechargeable portable lamps, modular pendant lights, decorative wall sconces in bright colors, and recessed LED strips. The selection of dimmable and smart lamps is also growing, with models that can be adjusted manually using a dimmer or remotely via apps and home automation systems. On the sustainability front, the priorities are energy efficiency and recycled and recyclable components.
The FuoriSalone 2027 Theme during Milan Design Week
The theme of FuoriSalone Milano 2027 is “In Relazione / Design In Relation”: design is understood as a tool for creating connections between people, places, cultures, and regions. During Milan Design Week 2027, furniture is no longer viewed as a finished object, but as an open-ended process that arises from dialogue and the exchange of expertise.
The meaning of this year’s Salone del Mobile theme also extends to the relationship between the physical and the digital, the local and the global, and the human and the technological. This gives rise to a vision of residential design capable of connecting materials, the environment, and technologies to imagine new ways of furnishing and experiencing spaces.
“A Matter of Salone” – The Milan Design Week 2026 Communication Campaign
Following on from “Thought for Humans” (2025), Salone del Mobile 2026 presents “A Matter of Salone”, a campaign that shifts the focus from humans to materials as the source of meaning. Curated by Motel409, the project involves Charles Negre, Eduard Sánchez Ribot, Alecio Ferrari, and set designers Studio Végété, Laura Doardo, and Stilema Studio, constructing a narrative through images that links materials, light, and gesture.
Four archetypal materials become the principles of the project: stone (origin), petals (innovation), wood (function), and sponge (reinvention). “A Matter of Salone” thus proposes an interpretation of design as transformation: from matter to object, from object to shared value.
