The Salone del Mobile 2026 aims to surpass the success of the last edition, which in 2025 recorded 302,548 visitors from 151 countries, with 68% of attendees coming from abroad. This year, the event will host over 1,900 exhibitors across 160,000 square metres, confirming its status as a global benchmark for design, with innovative and inspiring ideas for those who are furnishing their homes.

The most recent edition was Euroluce 2025 (8–13 April 2025) at Fiera Milano Rho, dedicated to new developments in lighting for residential, office, hospitality, and technical lighting, with a programme that also included conferences and installations.
The next edition of Euroluce is scheduled for April 2027, confirming the role of the International Lighting Exhibition as a global hub for innovation, technology, design, and sustainability in the lighting sector.
The Main Theme for FuoriSalone during Milan Design Week 2026
The theme of FuoriSalone Milano 2026 is "Be the Project": an idea that focuses on people as the protagonists of change and projects as design processes that evolve over time. During Milan Design Week 2026, the theme translates into concrete relationships: people and objects, materials and the environment, culture and technology.
The meaning of "Be the Project" also evokes the comparison with artificial intelligence in design, between tools that support choices and systems that co-create. The result is a more conscious vision: sustainable, inclusive design, oriented towards measurable and lasting value.
“A Matter of Salone” – The Milan Design Week 2026 Communication Campaign
Following on from “Thought for Humans” (2025), Salone del Mobile 2026 presents “A Matter of Salone”, a campaign that shifts the focus from humans to materials as the source of meaning. Curated by Motel409, the project involves Charles Negre, Eduard Sánchez Ribot, Alecio Ferrari, and set designers Studio Végété, Laura Doardo, and Stilema Studio, constructing a narrative through images that links materials, light, and gesture.
Four archetypal materials become the principles of the project: stone (origin), petals (innovation), wood (function), and sponge (reinvention). “A Matter of Salone” thus proposes an interpretation of design as transformation: from matter to object, from object to shared value.
