Principi Chair by GIO PONTI

In the workmanship of the Principi chair, as it is conceived, the highest quality and expertise of Cassina's craftsmen is brought out, as well as the creative talents of master Gio Ponti. Four hours of fine carpentry work are required to obtain the finished product, starting from the wood to the creation of the crosspieces from the curved end, passing through the sanding and gluing of the parts. The object represents an icon of design, stemming from the golden age of Cassina's collaboration with the great architect Gio Ponti, from whom it acquires a defined and refined trait. The seat is characterized by an open-pore ash frame, while the backrest enhances comfort thanks to its diamond workmanship.

The structure is available in different colors: white, Vermilion Red, Sky Blue, and black, inspired by Gio Ponti's own ceramics.

For the seat, made with a polyurethane padded cushion, upholstery is available in a wide range of fabrics and leathers from the Cassina collection.
