Infinito Bookcase by FRANCO ALBINI

The Infinito Bookcase, designed by Franco Albini, was born as an open and adaptable system, intended to multiply the possibilities of composition. The solid wood uprights, adjustable in height and fixed under pressure between floor and ceiling, eliminate the need for wall anchors and allow the structure to be placed in the center of the room. On these vertical elements, shelves and containers with hinged or flap doors can be positioned at different heights thanks to the perforation system that runs through the entire upright.

Cassina subsequently expanded the design of the Infinito Bookcase, making numerous variants available through the serial production of individual components. This evolution allows for the construction of very different configurations while maintaining Albini's original logic. The current finishes emphasize the essential character of the library, which is designed to be usable on both sides and to adapt to different contexts.
