At the end of the '40s the Antropus armchair was born, designed by Marco Zanuso on the occasion of the staging of the theatrical comedy "The Skin of Our Teeth", which was dubbed "La Famiglia Antropus".
Antropus Armchair by MARCO ZANUSO
Designer Marco Zanuso had been called to take care of the set design of the Piccolo Teatro in Milan and created, in collaboration with Arflex, the Antropus Armchair: a seating completely covered in foam rubber, which was considered highly innovative at the time. However, the present-day version of the Antropus armchair in the Cassina collection is made of polyurethane foam CFC free which allows the seat to be shaped into the ample and comfortable forms that characterize it. The armchair's volume is determined by the slender and curving profile of the side panels. The feet are made of black plastic, while the upholstery is available in leather or fabric. The Antropus armchair by Cassina is also available in the original iconic red fabric upholstery.
