The Archibald Armchair, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for Poltrona Frau, was born with the aim of reinterpreting the relaxation seat in a contemporary key. The compact proportions and the generous shape of the backrest create a recognizable presence, capable of interacting with formal and informal environments. The fluid line of the structure opens outward like a welcoming gesture, while the slight curvature of the seat naturally supports the body. The overall design is the result of careful work on proportions and posture, designed to provide a seat that encourages moments of pause, reading, or conversation.
The distinctive aspect of the Archibald Armchair is characterized by the high backrest, slightly wrinkled at the top, which breaks the regularity of the surface and introduces an unexpected visual movement. This detail, in addition to strongly marking the identity of the product, helps to define a dynamic and recognizable silhouette. The four-legged metal base lifts the structure, allowing the top to remain the protagonist. The Archibald armchair is part of a larger collection, which also includes a chair and stool, designed to bring coherence and continuity within residential or contract projects.

Removable Upholstery: For this product, removable covers are only available for the fabric version.
Technical Features: Structure of the backrest and seat in steel, padding in expanded polyurethane. Covering in Pelle Frau enriched with contrasting stitching, or in fabric with tone-on-tone stitching.
ComfortThe high backrest provides stable support, while the soft polyurethane foam padding, reinforced with wadding in strategic points, makes the seat welcoming without being saggy. The suspension with elastic straps adds elasticity and naturally accompanies the movements of the body.
