The Shibusa chaise longue is an idea of the designer Francesco Rota proposed for Paola Lenti among the 2021 novelties. As well as the armchair of the same series, also the chaise longue it is characterized by a turned bamboo structure on which the igusa tatami rests. The tatami is the typical Japanese mat that is typically used for cover walls and floors. The igusa is then the material with which the tatami was made; resistant to fire and stains, it has the ability to filter and purify the air, retaining the harmful substances present in the environment.
