Antonio Citterio, well-known designer in the Italian design furniture scene, introduces the Despina chair to the Maxalto seating collection.
Introduced together with the Cleide chair, Despina returns to the Maxalto line in a new version. Both chairs, already included in the Maxalto line in the 1990s, are presented in a new edition. Reproportioned and adapted to the production techniques of modern times these two chairs testify to Maxalto's expert craftsmanship. The solid wood frame of the Despina chair is characterized by continuous curvilinear lines: starting with that of the back legs and ending with the sinuous progression of the sympathetic armrests and wraparound backrest.
The Despina chair's seat can be upholstered in fabric or leather and has non-removable covers. The oak frame is available in three finishes: light brushed oak, gray oak or black brushed oak.
