The coat-hanger Shanghai is one of the most famous, a symbol of Italian design and the Industrial design in general and it is shown in the most important museums in the world and has received many important awards dedicated to design.
Zanotta realizes this real work of art with a very simple structure, consisting of eight strips 160 cm long, fixed more or less in the center, with a pin, a small internal structure that holds them together but, at the same time, it makes them "fall" simultaneously until reaching the inclination right to perform the function of coat-hanger, simulating the famous game. When is open, the height of the coat-hanger falls from 160 to 145 cm.
The strips are made of beech, oak in different colors or natural.
