The Uovo table lamp was created in 1972 from a design by Dutch-born designer Ben Swildens for the famous Italian lighting company Fontana Arte.

Conceived by Ben Swildens for the well-known company Fontana Arte, the Uovo table lamp, as its name suggests, is distinguished by the particular shape of its diffuser made of white satin-finish blown glass, whose formal simplicity makes this furnishing accessory easily adaptable to any type of environment, from the most essential to the most eclectic. The structure rests on a circular support in white painted metal, with a black power cable, switch, and plug. The Uovo collection comes in three different sizes, small, medium and large, and is also available in an outdoor version or with LED light.
