Intellectual, artist and designer, Francesco Binfaré continues his collaboration with Edra and creates the Standway Sofa: a very comfortable sofa where the cushions and backrest are one and the same.
The Standway Sofa was born from Francesco Binfaré's project for the Made in Italy brand Edra. In the creation of this design sofa we find the distinctive values of this company that is now recognized worldwide for its commitment to technological research, the quality of its materials and its handcrafting. Generous volumes and extremely soft, thick upholstery characterize this sofa, ensuring maximum comfort. Whether in the more original modular versions or the simpler linear ones, the Standway seating system adapts to different space requirements to furnish any living area with style.
The Standway Sofa features Edra's patented “smart cushion”: a true masterpiece of engineering that combines functionality and technology for ultimate relaxation. In fact, there is no actual armrest or backrest: each cushion can be positioned as desired. The use of special materials allows this cushion to be shaped as one pleases, adding further comfort to the soft padding that covers the entire structure. Easy to use and shape, the smart cushion assumes the most suitable position for the moment. An elegant and modern piece of furniture, the Standway sofa is designed to be the centerpiece of the living area.
The Standway Sofa is available in a range of sizes, both linear and modular, including:
3-Seater Standway Sofa: Inch. 100 1/2" wide, 45 1/4" deep, 33 3/4" high (cm.255x115x86h).
4-Seater Standway Sofa: Inch. 135 3/4" wide, 45 1/4" deep, 33 3/4" high (cm.345x115x86h).
The Standway Seating System can be customized in terms of both composition and upholstery, with a choice of different colors and fabrics. It is also possible to select the color of the Standway sofa legs.

Removable Upholstery: The cover of the Standway Couch is removable, but professional assistance is recommended for this operation.
Technical Features: A solid steel structure with integrated mechanisms supports the base of the Standway sofa in poplar plywood, complemented by refined spherical wooden feet, available in four different shades.
Comfort: Edra manufactures the Standway sofa with special padding that includes Gellyfoam®, a patented viscoelastic foam that adapts to the body, goose down for a feeling of natural softness, and synthetic wadding for uniform support.
The price of the Standway Sofa starts at around € 10,500 up to more than € 14,300. Tomassini Arredamenti only provides prices for projects developed by its Interior Design team.
