The De Sede DS 600 Snake Sofa comes from a creative idea by designers Ueli Berger, Eleonore Peduzzi-Riva, Heinz Ulrich, and Klaus Vogt, who collaborated to create this original project for the Swiss company. This sectional seating system is inspired by a legendary creature of the Alpine region, the Tatzelwurm, which in German means worm with legs: its shapes resemble those of a snake, indeed. The De Sede Snake DS-600 Sofa is extremely versatile and suitable for furnishing any environment, thanks to the endless possibilities of connecting the modules together, according to one's needs. The De Sede Snake Sofa has also entered the Guinness World Records as the largest sofa in the world.

The uniqueness of the DS 600 Snake Sofa lies in its original design and the possibility of having a new sofa every day, movable in any direction at will. The name of the De Sede Snake sofa comes precisely from the serpentine shape that can be created by joining the curved modules present in the collection. De Sede produces this unique piece of furniture, an icon of the collection since 1972, with leather or fabric upholstery and also with water-resistant fabrics, so it can be placed in partially covered terraces.
