The Skorpio Keramik Table, designed by Andrea Lucatello and Paolo Cattelan for Cattelan Italia, places high-performance ceramics at the center of the project. The choice of a marble-effect porcelain stoneware top is not only aesthetic: each slab has its own veins, shades, and color variations, inherited from the natural processes that inspire the individual collections. No two tops are identical. This aspect, which in industrial ceramics would be considered an imperfection, here becomes the main reason why the table acquires personality.

The base of the Cattelan Italia Skorpio Keramik Dining Table is built on an X-shaped geometry composed of steel bars that converge and expand outward, creating an optical effect of tension and balance. The structure is inspired by the art of origami, capable of supporting large tops with a light and dynamic visual impact. The top rests on the metal structure, a solution that accentuates the perception of lightness despite the generous size of the table.

The Skorpio Keramik Table is available in several formats, with rectangular, shaped, and rounded edges, and in different sizes, such as: 
8-person Contoured Skorpio Keramik Table: cm. 200x120x75h.
10-person Rectangular Skorpio Keramik Table: cm. 240x120x75h.
12-person Polygon Skorpio Keramik Table: cm. 300x130x75h. 

The base can be customized in different metal finishes, both embossed and hand-brushed, in shades of bronze, titanium, black, or pearl. The ceramic top is available in over sixteen variants, with contrasting or tone-on-tone veins.

Features of the Skorpio Keramik Table

Technical Features: The Skorpio Keramik Table features a steel base with embossed paint in the standard versions, or with a brushed finish obtained through manual processing, which produces unique variations for each piece. The ceramic top from the Cattelan catalog is a high-strength slab obtained from wet grinding processes of natural clays, granite rocks, and ceramic pigments, subjected to compaction and firing at high temperatures. The top rests on the base without invasive fixings. Any color variations are to be considered intrinsic characteristics of the craftsmanship, not manufacturing defects.
