The Arcolor sofa by Arflex, designed by Jaime Hayon in 2017, is a modular system that combines formal research, comfort, and craftsmanship. Its sinuous and compact profile interprets the idea of conviviality with a contemporary yet soft language, made of full volumes and continuous curves. The name Arcolor derives from the union of “arch” and “color,” two central elements in the Spanish designer's thinking: the curved line as a structural principle and color as an expressive value.
The Arcolor sofa is composed of independent elements, with or without armrests, corner and trapezoidal pieces, which can be freely combined to create linear, angular, or island compositions. The enveloping shapes and balanced proportions make it an ideal piece of furniture for high-end domestic and contract spaces, maintaining a discreet and recognizable elegance. Each composition of the Arcolor modular sofa Arflex communicates balance and fluidity, transforming the living area into a dynamic and welcoming space. Technical Features: The structure of the Arcolor sofa Arflex is made of metal and MDF panels, with a backrest equipped with elastic straps to ensure support and flexibility. The base is offered in lacquered MDF or stained ash in black, RAL 7036 grey, RAL 1013 birch, or Arflex bordeaux, with Teflon glides for floor protection. A distinctive detail is the edging, which emphasizes the curved profile of the seat, expressing the artisanal character and uniqueness of each piece.
Comfort: The padding, made of shaped polyurethane with differentiated density and polyester fiber, offers an elastic and comfortable seat, maintaining its original shape over time.
